G’day folks, welcome to Government House in Melbourne.
Ilana and I were helping my Mother (Edith) at an event her Rotary club were working at for Australia Day.
We were involved in assisting at a sausage sizzle.
People everywhere come to look at where the King’s representative lives and also enjoy some of the other foods, activities, views and yes, catching up with old and new mates.
So I am going to be a little philosophical in this post. The way the world is today, we pray and hope for peace. Our country is experiencing so division over the day. Why can’t people just learn to be tolerant of each other? Why can’t people learn to understand each other?
The day was awesome, people worked together in harmony and with humour. We spoke about my Dad and what he meant to the club. We spoke about some of his quirks and the things that made him and them laugh. It’s called fellowship.
You folks who are not Aussie based, need to come downunder and experience an Australia Day opportunity at Government House. See the house and the way it works and the way it was built.
